From personal experience I hate blank wiki pages, I don't know where to start.

I think that in addition to the blank page, maybe at least a template should be apparent so the would be creator knows where to start?

@Nick - I totally agree! Sometimes in my team's space (I work for Atlassian) we use templates, but even better, we are starting to use the add page macro (part of the linker plugin).

It allows you to make a link, to a new page, with a specific template, as well as location of where you want the page.

What the translates to the other contributors is that, with one click, they will have everything laid out for them.

All they have to do is add the content!

No I disagree. This is the way how to grow wiki organic.

Blank links or undefined links prompts users to create a new page.
