 +===== StartingPoint =====
 +
 +==== What is it? ====
 +
 +A StartingPoint is a site that makes first-time users familiar with the concept of wikis in general but also with the concept of your wiki in particular. In this way they learn that a wiki is NOT Wikipedia but Wikipedia is a wiki. And they know from the start how to use your wiki and where to find help.
 +
 +==== Usage ====
 +
 +  * Provide the URL of your StartingPoints with your [[Invitation|Invitation]] .
 +
 +Explain
 +
 +  * what your wiki is for (e.g. product documentation, project management etc)
 +  * what space / webs it might contain
 +  * what should be documented there.
 +  * your wiki culture, e.g. everybody can offer criticism, but should also be able to be criticized.
 +  * give hints how to start e.g. editing a page, or filling out the user profile.
 +  * provide links to additional help to your wiki (editing...).
 +
 +==== Example ====
