I know this site is sponsored by Atlassian, but an advertisement under the guise of a wiki pattern description? What happened to the original description? Maybe you should have this on the top of the front page instead, or have a link in an announcement about this event. Here, it seems more like a break in the purpose of this website.

First of all, apologies for this page having something about a specific conference. That shouldn't have happened and isn't in keeping with the goals of this site at all.
Having said that, the person who posted this isn't an Atlassian employee, nor would an Atassian employee post anything resembling an advertisement on here. The text relating to that specific event has been removed. In the future, if you see something like this, please take it upon yourselves to remove it, and restore what should be on the page. What makes a wiki great is that we all can monitor it and ensure the integrity of information.

Not sure if this helps - but we've done exactly that for an upcoming conference on Trends in Corporate Learning <sup></sup> . The basic structure was set up on the Wiki by conference organizers collaboratively editing. Further edits and enhancements have been made by speakers, volunteers and attendees.

Whether there is another motive for this pattern or otherwise - wikis are a powerful mechanism for arranging conferences, as well as meeting, projects, concepts and general discussions.
